One more view of Omsk from a high point.

Hi!
I am from California, USA. I am writing a book about a man who was in the Czar's special guards in 1918. He fled St. Petersburg with others in the army and ended up in Shanghai, China. From there he came to the US. He was from Omsk. Is there anything left of the town that would reflect what was there in the period before 1018? I would like to come to Russia to see what it was like then, but perhaps it is all under concrete now.
